Scripts
My half-hour episodic sitcom surrounding the downfall of Leslie Banner, a failing thespian who has barely gotten work since her stint as Annie over twenty years ago. In a type-casting rut, she goes berserk on a director, landing herself in court-mandated therapy that, to her surprise, is in a group setting. Forced to rehabilitate with some eccentric characters and keep her bumbling therapist afloat, making it out of Serenity Private Practice alive, let alone humbled, seems as daunting as getting her next lead on the big screen.
Act one of my original dark comedy/surrealism feature film follows Emma, a woman with a mysterious curse that transports her into the bodies of random women during orgasm. After escaping the haggard body of a user, she finds herself in immense danger when she enters the body of an LA elite in a failing marriage who leads a double life as a criminal in an underground gambling ring. This story explores themes of self-identity without taking itself too seriously.
A Very Strange Thing With Enormous Wings
My adaptation of the short story originally titled A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings by Colombian author and journalist Gabriel García Márquez. The story follows a young couple who are struggling with their daughter’s terminal illness. Their faith is tested when a mysterious creature crashes through their window and forms an eerie connection with their child.
Ouch. is my one-hour original POV health documentary. This is the outline of its concept. It’s a deeply personal piece based on the true story of my hypochondria which I believe is connected to a head trauma I suffered in grade school.
